Biyaheng Bukid TV Show Presents DA Programs and Services

QUEZON CITY -- True to its mission, the Department of Agriculture has been reaching out to the public through the Biyaheng Bukid ni Manny Pinol TV Show. Aside from the latest farming and fishing technologies, the show features the different programs and services of the agencies under the DA and how the public can benefit from them.

The show runs every weekends, from 5:00 to 5:30 AM aired over PTV Channel 4 with simultaneous broadcast over DZRB Radyo ng Bayan. It started its initial episode last May and will still run until November 2017. The show is also on Youtube where the previous episodes can be viewed online. President Duterte's new shoesMANILA -- Last March 7, 2017, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte got a pair of shoes made from pineapple leaf fiber known as Piñatex leather. It is a non-woven textile made from pineapple leaf fibers and an innovation of Ananas Anam, Ltd. with social entrepreneur Dr. Carmen Hijosa as founder.
Photo shows Dr. Hijosa giving the shoes to President Duterte as witnessed by Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol, Undersecretary for Administration, Agribusiness and Marketing and Regional Engagement Bernadette Romulo-Puyat and Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon M. Lopez.
