ATI at 30 logoDILIMAN, Quezon City – With gratitude and stronger commitment to uplift the lives of farmers and fishers, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) looks back on 30 significant years of extension work in the country and to more opportunities to make valuable contributions to the agriculture and fisheries sector.

This year, ATI marks three decades of “Extending Excellent Extension Services beyond Boundaries.” The Institute aims to further its training and education programs, scholarship grants, support for insurance, and climate resiliency-related activities, among others. This is to serve better and more agricultural extension workers, farmers, fishers, rural-based organizations, rural women, youth, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, agriculture enthusiasts, and private groups.

To mark this meaningful occasion, the Institute will hold week-long festivities in gratitude to its partners, clients, and other stakeholders from various national government agencies, local government units, local and international non-government organizations, and private companies.

Kicking off the celebration, Department of Agriculture (DA) Undersecretary for Operations Ariel Cayanan and ATI OIC-Director Luz Taposok will grace the ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the regional booths exhibit and tours at the Learning and Discovery Center and ATIng Gulayan ng DA.

An Annual Performance Review and Commitment Signing will also be conducted to commemorate the accomplishments of the Institute in the past year and to signify its commitment to the enhanced programs, projects, and activities in 2017.

A thanksgiving mass will also be held followed by the launching of five ATI publications to be led by DA Secretary Emmanuel Piñol. A ceremony for the recognition of loyalty awardees and a fellowship night dubbed as “Glam Night” will cap off the festivities.

The ATI @ 30 celebration will be held on January 23-27, 2017 at the ATI Compound along Elliptical Road in this city.
