BUTUAN CITY, Agusan del Norte—Pamela Mariquita Mappala, focal person of the e-Extension program and assistant chief of the Agricultural Training Institute’s (ATI) Information Service Division, is now a member of the board of trustees (BOT) of the Philippine e-Learning Society (PeLS).
During the 14th National e-Learning Conference (NeLC), Mappala was one of the five PeLS members elected to be part of the BOT for the next three years. She joins eight other e-Learning practitioners and members of the Board, including courseware developer, Rolando Maningas, from the ATI Regional Training Center IV-A.
“I believe that [I share with PeLS] the same mission of enhancing the knowledge and competencies of not just the learners but the practitioners as well. Together, we can develop and strategize the appropriate use of ICT in terms of education and training for the different sectors in our country,” Mappala shared in her PeLS website profile.
Mappala serves as co-facilitator of the online e-Extension community and co-manager of the ATI’s online media presence, the ATIiNteractive. She took her oath as member of the PeLS BOT on September 13, 2018 during the 14th NeLC.
For 15 years now, PeLS has been promoting the development of e-Learning competencies and collaboration among the industry’s practitioners. It was founded by e-Learning pioneers in July 2003.
