Technotip: PineappleThere are two fiber grades that can be extracted from pineapple leaves: the strong and coarse fiber called "bastos" that is commonly used in making strings or twine, and the "liniwan" or washout, a finer fiber used for fabric weaving.

Fiber din po ba ng piña ang pantali ng longganisa? Sa mga pagkain nating katulad ng mga binalot sa dahon ng gabi? Atbp. kakanin na kailangang talian? Baka po mali ang aking akala, at abaká po ang mas nararapat sa mga iyon. Salamat po sa pagbahagi ng kaalaman.
