pineapplePineapple is an incredibly delicious and healthy tropical fruit. It has high vitamin C content which helps strengthen the immune system and is an excellent source of manganese and vitamin B that give the body energy.

Manganese and vitamin B are both essential cofactors in a number of enzymes important in energy production. A naturally occurring mineral, manganese aids growth, helps maintain healthy metabolism, and has antioxidant properties.

Pineapples also contain a unique enzyme, bromelain, which may help in digestion and reduce inflammation in the body. A cup of pineapple chunks contains only around 75 calories. Make sure to include this amazing fruit in your diet as this is also fat-free, cholesterol-free, and low in sodium.
