Sprouts are cheap, quick, and easy-to-grow veggies. They can be grown in small or tight spaces without soil, sunlight, fertilizers, or pesticides any time of the year, and are harvestable in only three to seven days.
Sprouts are packed with natural enzymes, vitamins, and minerals. They are rich in vitamins A, B complex, C, and E. These vitamins assist in digestion and energy release. Sprouts are also rich in disease-preventing phytochemicals that aid the immune system. During metabolism, sprouts release enzymes that help the body in self-healing and tissue repair.
Lentils, peas, mungbeans, soybeans, rice, corn, wheat, sunflower, almond, hazelnut, alfalfa, and clover are among the seeds suitable for food sprouts.
