meat safetyMaintaining a safe, healthy home requires the practice of proper food handling. Safe-handling methods at home can reduce the risk of foodborne illness and keep your family healthy.

Leftovers are best recommended to be chilled quickly in order to prevent bacteria from growing. For a better chilling process, divide large quantities into smaller portions. Proper air flow in the refrigerator or freezer is necessary to maintain suggested temperature.

Proper safe-handling does not only bring healthy food consumption for your family but also does help in reduction of food waste. (Meat Safety.org)
