A whole-day seminar on mushroom production will be held this Saturday, July31, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.at the AANI seminar room at the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City.

Attendees will be able to learn how to produce mushroom spawns as well as to grow mushrooms for home use or for commercial purposes.

The beauty of mushroom growing is that it has a very short gestation period. If one wants to produce mushrooms for sale, he can buy fruiting bags and grow the same right at home. Mushrooms will sprout from the fruiting bags in a matter of less than ten days. The fruiting bag will remain productive for several weeks for as long as it is properly taken care of.

Mushroom spawns can now be bought at the AANI Livelihod Center at the Quezon Memorial Circle at very reasonable prices. Hundreds of fruiting bags are available at any one time.

Mushrooms are very nutritious food. They are considered organic products because no chemical pesticides are used in production.

Another business possibility in mushroom production is the production of spawns or fruiting bags.
