Please send someone to attend a seminar on the science of agriculture without Insecticides

My name is Lino S. Cortes, PhD 1970 Genetics with Biochemistry, University of Missouri- Columbia, Mo. USA. Retired in the Philippines in TERESA, RIZAL.

During my student days in 1963, our soils professor Dr. William A. Albrecht was preaching a model of agriculture (now-called eco-agriculture) which allowed plants to defend themselves from any pest or disease. He was forced to retire by multinational agrochemical companies intent on researching the use of their world war II nerve poisons for use in agriculture and offered new professorships, new buildings, new graduate scholarships to the University of Missouri in exchange for his retirement. They succeeded in hiding 43 years of work on the relationship of soil mineral cation base saturation and the ability of crop plants to defend themselves from pest or disease, he calls them climax crops. I think I was one of the lucky students to apply for and receive a scholarship there at that time.

On my return here, I found the sad state of agriculture in this country, the frogs and the fishes disappeared from our farms and the department of agriculture and the state universities did not question the importer of toxic rescue technology into this country, IRRI and the sole beneficiary of this import, the University of the Philippines College of
Agriculture who were apparently blind sided by a grants from the multinational agrochemical company sponsors.

This phenomenon of healthy plants ability to resist pest and disease was re discovered in 1985 by a french agronomist working for BAYER AG, Francis Chaboussou who published a book about the phenomenon, about the fact that pesticides get inside the plant, cause disruptions on the biochemistry of the plant, leading to a congestion of amino acids, and simple sugars, which the insects were looking for, therefore pesticides and NPK only fertilizers were actually causing the infestation. He gave the phenomenon a name TROPHO (nutrition) BIOSIS (biology). But, Chaboussou died in the same year as his book was born, and the multinationals did not have to defend themselves.

Jose Lutzenberger, a farmer, an alternative NOBEL laureate, Minister of the Department of Environment in Brazil again re-discovered TROPHOBIOSIS, that insects starve on a healthy plant in 1995, because they cannot digest plant protein for their metabolism, they were after the built up concentration of free amino acid in an unhealthy plant. He appealed to the chemical cartel, was ignored and he died in 2002. My brother, Radyo ng Bayan KA MANING has been teaching his vegetable grower clients since 2000 how to grow healthy plants that are not attacked by pest or disease since, he has in fact re-discovered the phenomenon a fourth time in the world. He could not explain these happenings, and so he came to me for an explanation.

We wrote a book "Agriculture without Poisons" in 2010, and pointed out healthy plants produce proteolysis inhibiting peptide, therefore the insects cannot digest plant proteins, the book is with the NAFC of the Department of Agriculture awaiting publication. We made an agreement with NAFC that we will conduct seminars on the second Saturday of each month about how to grow plants that are able to answer questions about the pathology, entomology, agronomic, cost and environment problems besetting this nation. We call our technology Zee P Ag (Sipag) BIOS.EFS = Zero Pesticide Agriculture Biological Input Organic System. Eco-Agriculture Fusion System. This time the agrochemical cartel cannot stiffle us, we are in facebook and wordpress. ( fb "Institute for Agriculture w/out Pesticides") and (www.//farmingtowin.wordpress.com) Please visit these pages, make comments, and e-mail me for references. It is time that the filipino farmer and consumers of his produce are removed from the greed of these institutions.

I am inviting every one interested about this law of Agriculture to attend the seminar. There is no fee, but NAFC does not provide refreshment from 9:00 a.m. to noon, 3rd floor of the Agriculture Building in Quezon Memorial Circle. Join the thousands of farmers in the Philippines who have discovered for themselves the new engine for the NEW AGRICULTURE IN THE 21ST CENTURY.
