MANILA, June 21 – The Department of Agriculture (DA) opened Tuesday in Quezon City a mini-fair, featuring agricultural prodocts from various locations nationwide.

The mini-fair highlighted the agency's 113th anniversary and bid to link producers with the market.

"This is part of government's assistance to market agricultural produce," DA Sec. Proceso Alcala said on the side of the fair, which will run until June 24 this week.

He invited people to visit the fair at DA central office's compound along Quezon Memorial Ring between Visayas Avenue and North Avenue.

'Pagkain na Sapat, Kalayaan sa Kagutuman ay Ganap' is the fair's theme.

Among the products at the fair are pineapples from Quezon province where Alcala hails from.

Some of these pineapples are being sold at three pieces for P100.

The fair's other features include delicacies from Pampanga province, various vegetables from central and southern Luzon, National Food Authority rice, different seedlings and several products made of pineapple fiber from Bicol.
