ATI-RTC 13, Caraga Region ELO

Our Center, The Agricultural Training Institute-Caraga Regional Training Center (ATI-Caraga), is at the forefront in providing efficient and effective training and extension services to agricultural extension workers and their clientele in Caraga Region.

Our Center is one of the youngest RTCs in the entire ATI network. It was established in 1990 as a Farmers’ Training Center (FTC). It officially became an RTC in 2004 after the implementation of the organizational restructuring in ATI. Currently, the Center has a total manpower of 27 personnel, and at the helm of this work force is our lady director in the person of Dr. Nenita D. Sumile.

The Center’s new location at Brgy. Los Angeles, Butuan City is a vast two-hectare lot donated by the City government of Butuan. Extension workers and farmers frequent our place because of the valuable learning experience they obtain from our demo farms. We have demonstrations on hybrid rice, banana, orchard, vegetable, and livestock productions. We also showcase in our farm the Sustainable System of Production Management (SSPM), a unique farming methodology we practice in our farm.
