Carrot is primarily grown for its fleshy root, and is usually planted in elevated areas with 15.6 degrees Celcius to 18.3 degrees Celcius temperature range for healthy root development and growth.
Carrot matures in 65 to 110 days after planting. When harvesting carrots, uproot the plants and cut the leaves up to two centimeters from the base of the roots. Washing the harvest is not recommended until it reaches the market.
