digital invasionProtecting your privacy and security does not have to be a complex and daunting task. Although it is vital to make your privacy a priority, there are simple strategies you can do to keep your data from being breached.

One of the keys to protect yourself from digital invasion is through creation of strong passwords. A strong password should be longer than eight characters and contains a variety of characters, numbers, and special symbols. You should also avoid common words, predictable character sequences, or anything associated with you that someone can find out from social media and other platforms.

Moreover, even if online thieves have uncovered your password, you may still keep them from gaining access to your account with two-factor authentication, a safeguard mechanism that requires you enter a second information (usually a one-time code) that only you can have. During this time of digital transformation, it is necessary to cultivate the habit of privacy mindfulness and generate interest for data protection. Know about privacy security, rights, paradoxes, and more at the Privacy Awareness Week celebration on May 27 and 28, 2021.
