This is in response to your query about proper mulching of mango seedlings. 

To prepare mulch, place field waste or residues around the base of the trunk, few inches away from the stem to prevent pest problems.

Commonly used mulching materials are rice straws, rice hulls, sugarcane bagasse,  chopped weeds and banana stalks.
